I worked at a few Artrider craft shows and while doing booth relief rounds I had the pleasure of meeting Karin Noyes and seeing her beautiful work. While she works with polymer clay rather than earthen clays, her work has been a big source of inspiration for me over the past few semesters. Her work is made of clay canes she assembles before slicing into thin pieces to use in the construction of her work.
Although much of her work is these decorative bowls, she has found a number of other things to apply her canes to and ways to make her work affordable at any price range too, which is something I especially admire. She covers everything from hair clips to buttons, and even key chains and zipper pulls.
